Melbourne Fringe runs in the Melbourne area between 29 September and 18 October 2026. The Melbourne Fringe Festival is a massive annual open access multi arts festival held in Melbourne annually since 1982. It celebrates independent and emerging art.
I am proud to be a part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival for the first time this year.
I am presenting two shows this year.
The first is a digital video which will be streaming on demand called In Her Words: Stories of the Executed Women of Victoria. This will look at the stories of the five women who were executed in Victoria and how they came to be on the gallows between 1863 and 1951. I am by no means a professional film maker, but I hope you will at least enjoy the stories!
The second is a walking tour of Melbourne CBD called In Her Footsteps: Women, Crime and Justice in Melbourne. This tour will start at Federation Square and will finish at Old Melbourne Gaol, wandering through the streets stopping at locations where actual history took place. This is a 90 minute tour starting at 7pm on the 9-11 October and 16-18 October.
I would love to see as many of you support these shows. They have been a lot of work, but I do love sharing history with all of you!
Below are the two posters with a QR code which takes you directly to the booking on the Melbourne Fringe site.
