I am excited to announce that I have secured funding through the Adelaide Fringe Foundation for 2026.
This means the world to me and will make it a little easier travelling to Adelaide to present the tour and the show.
Being a wheelchair user, accommodation can be difficult, especially when travelling solo to another state.
The funding allows me to stop stressing over that and put my energies into finishing the book and producing the show and tour!
I will be in Adelaide between March 6th and 15th and will be performing Friday, Saturday and Sunday between those dates – so two weekends. The shows will be held at the wonderful Adelaide Gaol, a venue I am familiar with!
In Her Words explores the stories of the 25 women who lost their lives on the gallows in Australia between 1789 and 1951.
The presentation at 1.30pm will look at the 25 women, their crimes, society and the laws that dictated the outcomes – not always fairly. I am proud to be joined on stage by LGBTQi historian, Ash Tonkin.
The tour at 11am, In Her Words: Elizabeth’s Story will trace the footsteps of the only woman executed in South Australia, Elizabeth Woolcock. Her story is heartbreaking but the Adelaide Gaol is the perfect place for her story to be told.
The ticket links are not live as yet but the QR codes will go to them once they are.
I hope to see some of you in Adelaide in 2026!
